Madeleine Albright to Visit SLCL

The St. Louis County Library Foundation is pleased to present an evening with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on Saturday, May 5. Secretary Albright will discuss her new memoir, “Prague Winter: A Personal Story of Remembrance and War, 1937-1948.” This special program will be a ticketed event, with proceeds benefiting the Library Foundation and Genealogy Collection.

Tickets are $55 and include seating for two and a copy of “Prague Winter.” Friends of the Library Foundation will be able to purchase tickets beginning March 1.  In “Prague Winter,” Madeleine Albright presents a moving and thoughtful memoir of her    formative years in Czechoslovakia during the tumult of Nazi occupation, World War II, and the onset of the Cold War.
